We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so.
2. General information on data processing
We process personal data only as far as necessary to provide a functioning website, our content and to handle your enquiries.
Legal bases are in particular:
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, e.g. project enquiries
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligations, e.g. retention periods
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests, e.g. secure operation of the website
- Section 25(1) German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) – consent to storing information on your device, unless strictly necessary (Section 25(2) TDDDG)
Retention: We delete data once the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion. For documents relevant under tax or commercial law, these periods are up to 10 years.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by: [name and address of the hosting provider]. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
When you visit the website, the server automatically records information transmitted by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page requested and amount of data transferred
- referrer URL (previously visited page)
- browser type and operating system
This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies
To our knowledge, this website only uses technically necessary cookies, e.g. set by the content management system WordPress. They ensure the website works properly and do not require consent (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use analytics, tracking or marketing cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; some website functions may then be limited.
5. Fonts (Google Fonts)
Use only one of the two options.
Option A – hosted locally (recommended): This website uses Google Fonts that are stored locally on our server. No connection to Google’s servers is made when you visit the site.
Option B – loaded from Google’s servers: This website uses Google Fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open a page, your browser loads the fonts from Google’s servers, and your IP address is transmitted to Google. A transfer to the USA is possible; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you can withdraw at any time. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
6. Contact by email and appointment requests
If you contact us by email (e.g. studio@antelight.com or info@antelight.com) or request an appointment, we process the data you provide – typically your name, email address, company, phone number and the content of your message – to handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete the data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
[If the “Request Appointment” button links to an external booking tool such as Calendly, name the provider here, its address, what data it receives and whether data is transferred outside the EU.]
7. Encryption, recipients and international transfers
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
We only share personal data with third parties where this is legally permitted, e.g. with our hosting provider as a processor, or with authorities where we are legally obliged to do so. We do not sell personal data.
Data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA only where the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met, e.g. on the basis of an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
To exercise your rights, simply email info@antelight.com.
Right to lodge a complaint: You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
